High concentrations may result in legionellosis, including Legionnaires\u2019 disease.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Legionella bacteria grow well in low-flowing or stagnant waters with temperatures ranging between 25-50o C. It is found in faulty plumbing, showers, whirlpools, cooling towers or e.g. mist machines. Infection is caused by inhalation of contaminated water droplets or aerosols. This includes identifying and managing the risks associated with Legionella. Legionella bacteria can pose a significant risk when present in high concentrations in water systems. Non-priority locations have lower risks associated with them. Therefore, the requirements for these locations are less strict. The government expects these organizations to take responsibility for Legionella prevention. There are no specific legal regulations for this.
