The rapid test is seen as a tempting alternative to the regular examination. However, in practice we regularly observe deviations in measurement results.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These deviations are both false positive and false negative and each have their own undesirable consequences. The rapid test consists of a solution of chemicals that react by discoloration when they make a connection with, among other things, chromium-6. For example, you can measure false positives based on other chemicals in your measurement sample, after which you have to take expensive additional control measures that would probably be unnecessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The false negative measurement results pose a greater danger. For example, the combination of chromium-6 and zinc in certain concentrations (situations) can ensure that you do not observe discoloration or that discoloration occurs that is almost imperceptible. As a result, emission of chromium-6 will occur during blasting, sawing or grinding.
