Applicable for Netherlands only. When determining lead in tap and drinking water, we use the so-called “worst case scenario” method.

This means that no flow of water may take place 8 hours prior to sampling. At least two samples will be taken.

Applicable in the Netherlands only. In recent years it has become clear that lead is more harmful than we previously thought. People who drink a lot of tap water (more than about two liters per day) run the risk of kidney damage or slightly increased blood pressure.

In this case, when determining lead in tap and drinking water, we assume the so-called “worst-case scenario”.

This means that it is guaranteed that no flow of drinking water may occur 8 hours prior to sampling. Two samples will be taken which will be determined on the spot and in consultation; one at the main water meter as a reference sample and frequently used tap, for example in the kitchen
